About our Therapists

Our provider team​

• LMFTs (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists) are fully licensed clinicians who have completed a graduate degree, thousands of supervised clinical hours, and licensing exams, and can practice independently.​

• AMFTs (Associate Marriage and Family Therapists) hold a graduate degree in marriage and family therapy or a closely related field. They provide therapy under structured supervision while accruing hours toward independent licensure as an LMFT.

• APCCs (Associate Professional Clinical Counselors) hold a graduate degree in counseling or a related field. Like AMFTs, they deliver counseling services under close supervision as they complete supervised hours for full LPCC licensure.

• Trainees are master’s-level students in accredited programs who provide therapy while receiving close supervision and skills training from licensed clinicians.​

• Every provider at our office is grounded in current relational and systemic therapy models and is engaged in ongoing professional development to support high-quality care.​

• AMFTs and Trainees work under regular supervision from licensed therapists, meaning your treatment benefits from multiple professional perspectives and a built-in quality review.​

Choosing the right therapist for you

• Working with a Trainee can make therapy more accessible because fees are often significantly reduced or offered on a sliding scale, while still maintaining a high standard of care. They frequently bring familiarity with the latest research, and their work is closely supervised by experienced, licensed professionals, adding an extra layer of thoughtful attention to your care.

• Some therapists have specialized training for issues such as trauma, working with children, or providing services to other specific demographics.
